Who we are
Kitemate is a service that sends daily WhatsApp wind alerts to kitesurfers in the Netherlands. You can reach us at info@kitemate.nl.
What we collect
- Account info: your email address and name (provided at signup)
- Address: street, house number, and postcode (used to estimate drive times to kite spots)
- WhatsApp number: used solely to send you wind alerts
- Kite spot preferences: the spots you select for monitoring
- Subscription data: plan type, billing period (via Stripe)
Why we collect it
- To send you personalised daily wind alerts via WhatsApp
- To manage your subscription and process payments
- To improve the service
Third-party services
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider, hosted in the EU
- Twilio — sends WhatsApp messages on our behalf
- Stripe — processes payments; we do not store card details
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as you have an account. You can delete your account and all associated data by emailing info@kitemate.nl.
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Email us at info@kitemate.nl and we will respond within 30 days.
